All the Way to the Top

Wherever you are, it doesn’t pay to get too comfortable. Complacency can be your downfall, especially when you have reached a pinnacle of success. Be wary of thinking you’ve made it when in reality you have just begun your journey.

Each stage of the growth curve involves commitment. It means giving 100% in both determination and perseverance. Getting every detail right! You have sacrificed lifestyle to hard work, long hours, and missing pleasurable moments with loved ones, and your entertainment was pushed to the side. Fuck…. You’ve been a bulldog!

Referring to someone as a "bulldog" typically implies that the person is strong-willed, tenacious, and determined. It can also suggest that the person is tough and unyielding in their approach to a particular situation or goal. The term is often used to describe someone who is persistent and resolute in their actions.

Often what happens when a person makes it, they sigh at their achievement, and then sort of relax, take a breather, and then take a moment to reflect and treat themselves to a well-earned award. There is nothing wrong with that. However, don’t be a clever clogs because it’s easy to fall into a feeling that you’ve made it, done what you started out to accomplish, and are unaware of what is around the corner.

It only gets harder, as whatever you’ve done right might work for a while, but ultimately will give way to market trends, competition, and a whole load of other related problems that will turn the tide. As you can see, now it is another ball game, and you better stay ahead of the pack. Getting to the top is just half the story, as once there, then to stay there it takes the same qualities used to get there, and then some more to maintain your position.

You only have to research all the top corporations out there and you will discover that all of them have had to overcome obstacles to stay alive and thriving! Give yourself the edge by appreciating it takes a continuous effort to perform well and stay ahead. Never lay back and think you have got all the answers. Be prepared for the inevitable!

Take care!
