Holiday Fever

Travelling around the world is a pleasant change from the day-to-day grind of everyday office work. Metaphorically speaking, moving scenery from country to country is to spread your wings and visit new destinations, taste exotic food, and experience cultural disparities.

My daughter was about to travel to Munich, Germany. She complained that she was tired, and in need of a vacation.

I thought momentarily and then commented, “Wow! Your job is fantastic. You are always travelling! You don’t need a trip away because your job is so great!”

She responded straight away, “But dad, that’s work!”

If my memory serves me correctly, this year alone she has spent time in Mexico, Barcelona Spain, Cordoba Argentina, the USA and she even went on a five-day cruise around the coast, disembarking at touristic locations in Brazil, Uruguay, and Argentina. Now, she’s going to Germany!

“I don’t get it. You post sightseeing shots every time you travel, and brag that you are light, and flying, that you are happy and free, have moments in life that you will never forget, self-love is sealed, ‘Viva la Vida’ as if it were the last day, or what a magical place, or that you are renewed on this amazing day, or one moment at a time.

She goes on to say she loves her job though it makes me think young people act like victims of misfortune.

Sounds to me like she is having a fantastic time though I can appreciate the responsibility to have duties that have to be done. That's life!

Then after Germany she’s in Malta for the Imex conference! Pictures above taken from my daughter's camera in Malta and Gozo, a Maltese Island.

Have a terrific day!
