Having good health contributes to a better-quality life whilst possibly longevity. Some say it comes down to your parents and their ancestors.
Some health conditions can be passed down by parents to their children. If a close relative has a hereditary disease, you are more likely than the general population to develop it. However, knowing your risks can guide you in making changes to benefit your long-term health.
Put it like this, if you maintain your vehicle by changing the oil and filters and topping up the radiator with water or coolant, you run less risk of engine failure, or for that matter engine seizure.
Engine seizure is caused by overheating or lack of lubricant. Lubricants help the various parts of a vehicle to work smoothly. When the oil level is low, your engine overheats, parts melt, and the bearings ultimately become damaged. It's something you never want to experience because in most cases it will be very costly to repair.
Clearly, what we eat has significant bearing on the efficacy of our working organs, as they need nutrition to actively produce the bodily functions each and every part is responsible for.
While food balance is important, so is working out. Exercising every day is like the expression, an apple a day keeps the doctor away. Similarly, to a car, if not used and lubricated there is a good chance that age will set in, and other problems will occur.
Most commonly, cars that aren't driven very regularly will run out of battery. As you drive, your vehicle's battery is able to recharge, which is often why a battery can run for years without depleting its energy. If a vehicle is parked for a long time, the battery isn't able to recharge and will likely go flat.
Extreme heat or cold can aid in causing your battery to lose its charge as well. Brakes that aren't being engaged often become corroded and rusty if the car is parked for a period of time. Moisture can build up on the steel brake rotor, leaving a layer of rust behind.
I think you must get the picture to think outside the box and act accordingly.
Have a great day!

Vocabulary builder:
Seizure (n) = arrest (halt), bring to an end, like a convulsion, spasm
Efficacy (n) = effectiveness, efficiency, usefulness, worth, value, ability, (ant) inefficiency
An apple a day keeps the doctor away (idiom) = means that eating an apple each day can help to keep you healthy. We've all heard that an apple a day keeps the doctor away, but how true is that? Apples are not high in vitamin A, nor are they beneficial for vision like carrots. They are not a great source of vitamin C and therefore don't fight off colds as oranges do. Sounds to me that the Evil Queen in Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs used the poisoned apple because she wasn’t so confident in the expression!
