Man on a Mission

He was alive, full of energy. It was important for him to be successful. It did not matter what his friends said. He was determined to make it happen.

Dream stealers will hold you down if you allow them to. You know, those people, usually family or acquaintances that know best. Maybe they are jealous or envious, or they simply don't believe in you.

He prepared the following day’s work in the evening. Then he went to bed early. He woke up early the next day, and did that every day of the week for years. And then he worked hard and smart until early evening or sometimes until very late.

Every penny he made, he put back into the business. He understood the need to sacrifice pleasure and steer clear of wasting money on impulsive habits like eating out, drinking, and clubbing which were feel-good addictions.

Instead, after getting up early, he’d go to the gym, workout, take a cold shower, and condition his mindset to take on another day’s challenges.

His warrior instinct set him apart from the rest. He meant business, and by golly he was giving it 100% of his best.

The driving force to his determination came from his inspiration to feel satisfaction and fulfillment.

He felt great! Everyone can do it if they want.

Best of success!

Vocabulary builder:

Jealous or envious (adj) = The main difference between jealousy (n) and envy (n) is that jealousy is more about the fear of losing something you already have, while envy is more about wanting something someone else has:

  • Jealousy - involves a fear of losing something you have, like a relationship, or resentment that someone has achieved something you want. Jealousy can also involve being protective of possessions or relationships. Jealousy can be exciting and is often seen in lovers' triangles and Shakespeare's plays.

  • Envy - involves a longing for someone else's things, qualities, privileges, or luck. Envy can be a mix of admiration and discontent, but it doesn't usually imply hostility. Envy can be used as both a noun and a verb.

By golly = show surprise. Meaning of golly in English is used to show surprise: by golly Grandad might be 70 but he said he'd finish the marathon and, by golly, he did.
