Channel Crossings Worsening

When the Conservative party ruled Britain, little was done to control a never ending illegal migrant crises. Since Kier Starmer has taken office as Prime minister of England the refugee crisis has worsened.

The invasion is becoming intolerable for many English people. Illegal migrants flock to the United Kingdom on small boats. In many ways it seems the French are facilitating their passage. But then can you blame them? If these often desperados were in your neighborhood, would you feel comfortable by allowing your children out and about?
Nevertheless, many of these refugees have families and really are desperate for the livelihood of their offspring and to have a better quality of life themselves. As well there are many young men and some have criminal records. They often arrive on British shore with no passport or documents to substantiate their claim to British Citizenship.
According to Quora a statement quoted, “They travel to the UK because they are offered better economic prospects than would be available to them in France and in addition, free healthcare, free housing (usually better than the French housing projects), free education, superior tertiary education, far less racism and the benefit of equal rights.”
In the year ending March 2023, almost half of small boat arrivals were from two nationalities: Albanians (28%) and Afghans (20%). On 18 July 2023, the United Nations criticized the UK's Illegal Migration Bill for violating international law and endangering refugees. In other words. Briton is tied to such law, and turns its shoulder to sending them back.
According to research and past blogs I have written, many Albanians refrain from trying to legalize their predicament in the UK, as they get ushered into drug peddling by Albanian gangs who have dominated the drug trade there.
According to experts, integrating poorer migrants into an affluent area can have both positive and negative effects on the economy, depending on various factors. While studies suggest that immigration generally boosts economic growth and productivity in host countries, particularly through increased labor market diversity and innovation, there can also be challenges related to income inequality, strain on public resources, and potential downward pressure on wages for low-skilled workers.
The bottom line according to Nigel Farage, the leader of the Reform party is the French can’t be blamed, but rather the British are responsible for not turning the small boats (dinghies) back.
Take care!
