Conforming to society rules for a harmonized existence is great if you know how to cope under the stress of those who don’t seem to care because breaking the rules makes their life easier.
A typical example is a mother or father who cannot be bothered to argue and straighten out their young one because their child has a tantrum, and argues with the parents until one gives in. Yes, everyone has their limits of endurance, so it is understandable that on occasion they let go and agree with their offspring.
However, there needs to be some hard and fast rules in life, as once a child steps over the line and is allowed to get away with it; it repeats itself and the misdemeanor has a way of repeating until one day all boundaries are forgotten. I know because my children were taken from me by my meddling mother-in-law before their teens.
Without going into my case which is quite complex, I can see the ricochet effect it is causing on my granddaughter’s upbringing. It saddens me that my granddaughter sometimes gets away with murder; not literally of course, but there is definitely room for improvement.
This is where it begins. In my case, my supervision is gradually dealing with the consequences of what we could call mismanagement though my wife and I face the challenge of trying our best to make sure she grows up properly. However, in many situations it escalates, and consequently the outcome can be more severe.
If we look at adults the majority of them are respectful, kind, considerate, morally correct, care about their contribution to society in making it work by avoiding excessiveness, calling the shots, and bullying their way into the limelight.
Leaders are required, so yes, we need those who can take a multitude with them for the better. However, we need leaders who can really make a difference to society by respecting nature, getting the majority to collaborate wholeheartedly without calling for war, or antagonizing over disputable instances.
Those who can see the bigger picture and aim for pleasantness without destroying our planet for personal gain, or antagonizing their followers to cause riots, or unpleasantness are the leaders of the future.
