Lula’s International Tact

In my humble opinion Donald Trump has stepped over the line with his new tariff policy against Brazil. Democratic rule shouldn’t entail dictatorial while undiplomatic measures, and especially with Brazil, as it has always had a good relationship with America.

Trump’s way or the highway is a bold attempt at blackmail. Whilst according to what is spilling in media; Lula asked for it by pressing for an alternative payment system like (PIX) which would facilitate BRICS countries with a smart-money exchange mechanism cutting out the $US dollar: you wished LOL! Trump certainly felt his buttons were being pressed.
Actually, it’s rather two-faced, as Trump, the man once against cryptocurrency was favored by Elon Musk for a while when he saw crypto as a way to get more votes for the election by changing favor. Yes, Trump cleary said, America will be the "Crypto Capital of the World" which may have contributed to his election campaign. Musk was sworn in on Trumps team, and shortly afterwards he got the hump, and resigned.
Nevertheless, it’s now common knowledge that Donald and his offspring have got on the bandwagon with their own $TRUMP meme coin, Crypto Emperor Trump (TRUMP), and the BARRON Trump coin. Isn’t that similar to BRICS setting up another way to transfer funds like crypto which is a digital currency and cuts out centralization in terms of transparency. Stacking up the playing ground with more confusion is likely to burden trade which goes hand in hand with Trump’s new tariffs.
China condemns tariff on Brazil, accusing the US of intimidation (from Agencia Brasil EBC) Read below:
China’s Foreign Ministry on Friday (Jul. 11) criticized the 50-percent import tariff on Brazilian products announced this week by US President Donald Trump.
“Sovereign equality and non-interference in internal affairs are major principles of the United Nations Charter and basic norms in international relations,” ministry spokeswoman Mao Ning said when asked by a reporter what she thought of the 50-percent tariff on Brazilian products announced by President Trump.
“Tariffs should not be a tool of coercion, intimidation, or interference,” she concluded saying.
Earlier this week, when President Trump began sending letters to trading partners threatening to raise tariffs, Mao Ning had already criticized US protectionism.
“China’s position on tariffs is consistent and clear. There are no winners in a trade or tariff war. Protectionism harms everyone’s interests,” she argued.
The whole sordid affair is blatantly taking the piss out of society. Trump is acting like a tyrant. Perhaps he isn’t murdering people and committing evident genocide, but he is causing people to suffer i.e., those working-class Brazilians who have got jobs. It shows pure mercilessness. He can be impeached for it!
On top of it all ex-president Jair Bolsonaro's ally, Donald Trump has set upon Brazil's Supreme Court's judge Alexandre Moraes for prosecuting Bolsonaro; another ridiculous situation which has been undermined by Jair's son Eduardo Bolsonaro who currently is based in the USA.
Eduardo Bolsonaro coordinated commercial sanctions for Brazil in an attempt to free his father from being legally judged according to Brazilian laws.
Lula however, shows his shoe shining skills as the underdog!
Take care!
