Captain Britain is Brian Braddock, a fictional superhero appearing in British and American comic books published by Marvel Comics. His first appearance was in Captain Britain Weekly one in October 1976.
The original character was initially intended exclusively for the British comics market. He was endowed with extraordinary powers by the legendary magician Merlyn. Captain Britain was assigned to uphold the laws of Britain.
Brian Braddock has superhuman strength, speed, stamina, durability, reflexes, senses, and the ability to fly at supersonic speeds. He possesses enhanced perceptions that allow him to be aware of things others may miss (such as objects cloaked by spells of illusion).
While wearing his costume, Brian Braddock's strength is increased to high superhuman levels. At his peak, he is able to lift (press) approximately 90 tons. And according to my research Captain Britain will be reappearing in the MCU Via Black Knight Movie.
Now, in its Phase 4, the Marvel Cinematic Universe is getting interested in the multiverse too. Therefore, it should come as no surprise that Captain Britain is finally coming onboard.
Meanwhile, rumors persist that a live-action Captain Britain will enter the MCU in 2022 via Doctor Strange and the Multiverse of Madness.
